After changing his name from the dull Bachelor and hitting the architectural scene with designs as bizarre as they are impractical - the Round House, the Minimal House, the Floating Temple, the Castelette, the H2O, the Topiary Maze with its Stairway to Heaven - Michael Angelo made such a fortune that he will never have to work again. What drew him to this neighbourhood was the diverse but invariably tasteless design of the houses - "It's as if these buildings and mine were all created by the same person!"
